Universal Terms and Conditions applicable for CBM Products & Services

• As per direction from “ ACCC & Australian Consumer Law “ IT products sold (specially items with built-in Micro Chips such as Ram, Graphics card, CPU and Etc..) cannot be returned for Refund simply for “change of Mind” by customer.
• Software/Hardware Compatibility should be determined before any purchase is made.
• CBM Warranty is not covered for Software related problems, but will provide support and direction to be verified by the relevant Manufacturers.
• Software packages are sold on No Return basis, due to Change of mind by customer, in particular, if the packaging has been opened ( to stop violation of copy Right & piracy ). For technical support on popular software ( MS Office, MYOB…) you should contact Support Line of respective software company.
• Warranty Does NOT apply to loss or damage as a result of External Forces (such as Power Surge) & etc.
• There will be a service Fee chargeable for testing of any peripherals and individual devices, such as External modems, Scanners…, if No Fault Found under the Warranty.
• If a CBM system product has been tampered with, upgraded, serviced or repaired by any unauthorised persons, all benefits under this warranty shall be forfeited.
• There will be a freight/handling charges on individual Devices & peripherals during Warranty period subject to Manufacturer’s Warranty Terms and Conditions. Please refer to your Warranty Paper Work.
• Any Service call in relation to Warranty ( such as Computers/ laptops ) not relating to Hardware Faults, but to operator error, software problems or other product defects will incur a service Fee.
• All the software, Drivers and Operating system will be given to the Customer at the time of pick up. Therefore, it is the Customer’s responsibility to check it as per Tax Invoice details and to make sure they are stored in a safe place for any software reload or a reference point.
• All new computer systems / notebooks / tablets (not software) covered by back to base warranty unless otherwise stated – see your Tax invoice for its Warranty Period and other specific Sales/Warranty Term & Conditions. A standard one year warranty is given for all CBM Systems, unless otherwise stated on your invoice. Printers, Scanners, Monitors and any other individual devices are covered by manufacturer’s warranty terms & conditions. Warranty only covers failure due to defects and does not apply to Data loss, any Virus infection, software related problems, Loss or damage as a result of external forces. Country Business Machines Dubbo P/L – CBM Computers is NOT liable for any consequential loss whatsoever and or loss of Data resulting from any malfunction or failure of the product.
• Property of goods does not pass until all the funds are cleared and monies paid. All sold products must be picked up within 48hours, unless otherwise stated. Deposits are not refundable after 24 hours of placement of orders when we proceed with making the system ready. 20% cancellation / Re-stocking fee will apply on full amount of computer packages. We only accept cash, EFT or bank cheque at the time of pick up.
• If at any time customer owes CBM money on any account in excess of our trading terms then in addition to any other rights we have customer agree we may enter any premises owned, possessed or controlled by customer where our product is stored and remove our product and re-sell all or any of them. CBM is not liable to customer if we take such action
• If we provide our customer with a quotation, it is valid only for the period of time specified in the quotation or 30 days, whichever is the lesser, and only in respect of the matters set out in the quotation. Our quotations are confidential. You must not disclose the information in our quotations to any other person without our prior consent. Quotation’s Terms & Conditions also apply to any work we perform or service we provide to our customers on request which is separate from the purchase of product.

• WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND A SUITABLE UPS – BATTERY BACK UP POWER PROTECTION UNIT, FOR YOUR SERVER AND DESKTOP COMPUTERS AND A DATA BACK-UP UNIT LOCALLY OR A CLOUD BACK UP. WE, ALSO RECOMMEND A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR YOUR SERVER SYSTEM AND ATLEAST ONCE A YEAR FULL SERVICE ON YOUR DESKTOP AND LAPTOP SYSTEMS.
